Head of Writing

Robin is an active writer who seeks to bring his focus on historical and ongoing injustices to The ISK Times. He hopes to shed light on these global issues in order to get readers to think critically about the world they inhabit and to question why things are the way they are.

Jason is particularly interested in the issues of South Korea because of how easily you can notice them in daily life. As accessible as these problems are, the solutions are as readily available, which serves as motivation for him. For anything else, if it draws his curiosity out, it becomes his interest. He joined the ISK Times to shed light on the local, national, and international problems that he believes should be written and reported about. By being in ISK, he hopes to spark conversations between the writers and viewers for a movement forward for us, the international students, preparing to become a part of a society in which we did not have much say before.

Janghyun has always been an avid writer, and he especially loves to write about his many interests, from arts and entertainment to politics and society. He hopes that he can bring his love for writing to the pages of ISK as one of its Heads of Writing, delivering intriguing news updates as well as his own opinions on relevant subject matters to the community.

Ryan enjoys playing video games with his friends, cooking, and watching YouTube. He realized that ISK is the perfect opportunity for him to write about thoughts and ideas he has on the world today, and wanted to be able to share his opinions with other students who may share similar ideas through articles and editorials.

As a journalist, Jinn’s main interests are anything related to mathematics, science, and music. Jinn hopes to enjoy his time at ISK and have fun while writing.

Presley is mainly passionate about literature and reading, as well as subjects like psychology and history. She also is passionate about sports like soccer or golf, and playing instruments. Presley decided to join ISK as a writer because she thought it would be a good opportunity for her to improve her writing and also write on topics that she could share with other people. She believes that ISK gives her the chance to explore her passions and write down her opinions and knowledge about them, as well as to learn about the passions of others and learn new skills and information.

Belina’s passions are reading and teaching children taekwondo. She decided to join ISK because she has always been interested in writing and with prior education in journalism, and thought it would be a well fitting experience for her to write for ISK.

Chloe enjoys watching movies/films, baking, and listening to music. She joined ISK as a writer after a friend introduced her to the organization and thought it’d be a great outlet to read and write editorial pieces.

In his free time, Robert likes to read books and watch movies with his friends. He joined ISK as he was captivated by the idea of writing various pieces of news and about KIS. In addition, he enjoyed the autonomy that ISK gave him as it gave him the choice to write about various topics relating to his personal interest.

As of now, Ben’s find interest in very hypothetical questions, as well as deep, philosophical questions. Oftentimes these questions incorporate science topics, as he is interested in areas of biology, chemistry, and astronomy, though he is still a young learner. He likes to ask and think about thought-provoking questions that others and himself may be able to find intriguing. Ben decided to join ISK as he thought it would be an enjoyable experience writing about the things he likes and finds interest in. He hopes that by writing and publishing articles for students in KIS, he is able to interest readers and talk about fun topics.

Phillip has acquired many interests from listening to nearly every rendition of Chopin's Ballades to playing tetris. Outside, he enjoys running and getting vitamin D. Feeling constrained by school essays and wanting to share, ISK piqued his interest with its freedom. After joining ISK as a writer, he saw a great opportunity to find new people who shared my interests.
